Memory of 9/11

It was my twelfth birthday. I was at home (I was home schooled at that time) when I walked into my TV room to start off my day. But instead of the morning weather, I walked in to see a plane had just crashed into a building that was unimportant to me. I yelled to my mother who was in the kitchen "mom, a plane just crashed into some building."I thought it was nothing but the atmosphere of my quiet morning quickly changed when my mom ran into the room and saw the TV. Her jaw dropped. She wouldn't really say anything to me because she was so shocked. I knew what was happening was bad but I hadn't even known what the twin towers were until know. As my mom frantically made calls to family I left the room and found out the true devastation hours later.

For this assignment we had to find a way to photograph the seven deadly sins. We could portray them however we wanted but we had to avoid cliche... I may have been a little cliche.. But, for the most part (aside from one or two of the sins) I really like how my pictures came out. I think this is definitely one of my favorite home works so far.

Kingsbury

During class today we went to Kingsbury to take architectural photos. We had to take 40 pictures in 40 minutes. Here is my contact sheet and some of my favorites from the adventure.

Flenaur

For this assignment I pulled some images together from Portsmouth and Portland. We were supposed to go to an urban environment and stroll causally yet alertly. So this I did.. I didn't take as many pictures as I maybe should have but at least I got some that I liked! Also, I'm still kinda deciding which ones to print out so I put a few extra on here.

Color Assignment

So for this assignment we had to pick a color in our environment and photograph it. Of course, I was thinking natural environment(probably would have made this a little easier on my self if I realized it could have been whatever). Nevertheless, I got some images of red and yellow. I set out looking for yellow but then decided to add a little variety. Heres my contact sheet :)
